Above are a collection of my glaze examples that are available for Made-to-Order items. I’ve numbered them to make it easier to remember when you go back and order.
They are grouped in 2 groups, S & R, representing the 2 different clay bodies I typically work in. Both clay bodies are mid-range stoneware and fired to over 2,000 degrees resulting in sturdy microwave, oven and dishwasher safe pottery that will last you a long time given you treat them nicely.
The group beginning w S is representative of a tan manganese speckled clay body I use because the speckles are visible through the glazes. This clay is what I use to highlight brighter colors.
The group beginning w R is representative of a red/brown clay body I use to highlight more earthy colors - the rich warmth of the iron in the clay shows through the glazes and creates a different vibe.
Ugh! Its hard to choose which I like best…hence I use both:)
You and I may have different opinions on what’s beautiful and thats fine by me! If you’re interested in a combo different from what you see here, please let me know and we can come up with something!
